Eusébio da Silva Ferreira (1942 – 2014)

Apelidado “Pantera Negra”, devido à sua velocidade e técnica, aliadas a um remate fortíssimo, marcou, no total da sua carreira, 896 golos em 914 partidas.

Conhecido pelo seu “fair-play”, ficará para sempre ligado à prestação da Seleção Nacional no Mundial de Inglaterra, em 1966. Contribuiu, de forma decisiva, para a conquista do terceiro lugar e foi o melhor marcador da prova.

Dubbed “Black Panther” due to his speed and technique, combined with a tremendous kick, he scored 896 goals in 914 matches. Famous for his “fair play”, he will forever be associated with the Portuguese National Team’s performance at the 1966 World Cup in England, having decisively contributed to Portugal’s third position in the cup. He was the Cup’s best goal scorer.
